Tie-downs:
Outside year round tie-downs are currently available.
T-Hangars:
All 20 T–Hangars at Sequim Valley Airport are on a 40-year lease that expires in 2037. There are currently no hangars available for rent but occasionally remaining time on hangar leases are for sale or rent by current tenants.
New Hangars For Rent (coming soon):
We plan to construct additional hangars in the near future. Construction timelines are also regulated by County permitting restrictions.
Hangars we are considering building this fall or winter will be individual 32’x 44’ pole building box hangars. Two hangars will have a slightly wider door opening to accommodate aircraft such as a Cirrus which has a slightly larger wingspan. The hangars are for personal non-commercial use only.
Details of these buildings include:
• Pole Construction with metal siding and metal roof
• Concrete floors with asphalt to taxiway outside
• Roof insulation
• Roof gutters
• Sliding accordion type doors. (see attachment)
• Man-door on the side of the building.
• LED lighting fixture on ceiling
• Eight 110 AC outlets
• Individual PUD meters
• Located in the field north of the current T-hangars
As they will be box hangars, there will be more square footage for additional storage than traditional T-hangars that might allow room for a boat and / or extra car in addition to an airplane.
If you wish to participate in this particular project; you will need to show commitment with a hangar deposit of $1500. before we begin construction. This will be a security deposit that will be refunded in full if hangars are not completed by the Fall of 2026. We cannot change the design characteristics or size of the buildings at this time. The hangar deposit is also non-refundable if the renter decides to back out, Otherwise, the deposit will be refunded at the end of the lease. Lease term is 3 years. with an approximate rent of $980. month rent per unit. You pay for electricity. We know this is high to some but with steel, concrete, labor, property taxes and insurance costs continuing to hover at an all-time high, this is the lowest we can go at this point. If we find ways to reduce costs during construction and concrete prices decrease, the monthly rent might be slightly less.
We need to have commitments from four individuals asap as the proposed start of construction and ground preparation will likely be in Fall of 2025 and building construction in the Spring of 2026 with occupancy shortly thereafter.
